Howard Park Shelter #2. We
Follow the
directions to parking after you enter the park. Volunteers will direct you to
registration.
WHEN
TO ARRIVE AT THE RACE: No
later than 6:00 PM
Approximately 300 athletes
are expected for this event. Therefore, to begin on time we ask that you
plan to arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. Parking staff will be on
hand to direct you where to park as you arrive. The race will start and finish
at the beach. The beach parking lot has limited capacity so some of you may have to park farther away and my have some
distance to walk to get to the start/finish line. Give yourself plenty of time.
RACE START TIME:
Race will start promptly at 6:30PM
Run (3.1 miles):
5K (3.1 miles). Start at Fred Howard Park
beach, run along the causeway into park. Route
follows park roads (shaded and flat), and returns via the causeway to the race
finish at the beach. There will be
water stations at the 1 mile and 2 mile marks. The
course is paved, mostly shaded and flat.
*Race will take place rain
or shine. In the event of lightning
the race director can delay or cancel the race for safety reasons.
*The park roads will be closed
for race. After 7:30PM on Friday, September 10th the park roads
will re-open and the race will be officially over. Participants still on the course
after the roads re-open should watch for traffic.
*Results will be posted online

We provide a goody bag for you at packet
pick up. In it you will find:
Your race number
This must be worn during the race. Have it secured to the
shirt you will be running in or a race number belt before the race begins to
ensure you wear it on the run.
